Kistler 9119AA2

Kistler 9119AA2 is a multi-component piezoelectric force sensor using quartz (SiO2) elements for precise measurement of three orthogonal force components (Fx, Fy, Fz).

Measuring range ±4 kN per axis, sensitivity approx. -7.9 pC/N (Fx, Fy) and -3.7 pC/N (Fz), threshold <0.01 N, very high stiffness (>1 kN/μm) and resonant frequency >4 kHz.

The design allows mounting in setups for cutting-force measurement (machining dynamometers), assembly process monitoring, strength testing and tribological research. Requires a charge amplifier (Kistler 5073 or 5167A).

Market class

A Force Torque Sensor measures linear forces and rotational torques at a single measurement point. In robotics, it is particularly important in manipulators, robot wrists, grippers, and human–robot collaboration systems. It enables force control, contact detection, load monitoring, and improved safety and manipulation precision. Sensors of this type are widely used in assembly, laboratory, and research applications.
