OmniVision OG05B
The OmniVision OG05B is a 5-megapixel (2592 × 1944) global-shutter CMOS image sensor designed for industrial machine vision. It uses a 2.2 µm BSI pixel in a PureCel Plus-S stacked-die architecture and a 1/2.53″ optical format.
A global shutter exposes all pixels simultaneously, capturing fast-moving objects without distortion (the 'jello' effect). The sensor runs at 60 fps with 106 dB shutter efficiency.
It integrates Nyxel near-infrared technology, boosting quantum efficiency across 700–1050 nm, and supports 4-lane MIPI CSI-2 and DVP output. It is available in color (OG05B10) and monochrome (OG05B1B) variants. Typical uses include barcode scanners, robotics and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

Which group OmniVision OG05B belongs to and how it is built
CMOS image sensors are integrated circuits built from a grid of photodiodes (pixels) that convert incoming light into electric charge and then into a digital image. In robotics and vision systems they are the heart of RGB cameras and perception modules. Modern variants use BSI (back-side illumination) and stacked construction (pixel and logic layers stacked vertically) for higher sensitivity and faster readout.
A "CMOS image sensor" component refers to the sensor die/chip itself, not a complete camera module. Integrators pair it with a lens, an image signal processor (ISP) and an interface (e.g. MIPI CSI-2). Key parameters are optical format, pixel size, effective resolution and the color filter array.
