Shipping

ANYmal X is a quadruped inspection robot developed by Swiss company ANYbotics AG (an ETH Zurich spin-off). It is the explosion-proof (Ex) variant of the ANYmal platform, designed for autonomous inspection in potentially explosive atmospheres across oil, gas and chemical facilities. The robot is certified to ATEX and IECEx standards for operation up to Zone 1 IIB, where flammable gases may be present.

The ANYmal X design is intrinsically safe, impact-protected, and dust- and water-resistant to IP67, enabling operation in harsh weather and explosive atmospheres. The robot complies with CE directives and FCC requirements. It features a hardware emergency stop, a warning light, safety handles, and a ruggedized tablet for safe handling.

Four-legged, AI-driven mobility allows safe maneuvering through complex, multi-floor facilities, including industrial and grated stairs, and on slippery and uneven terrain. ANYmal X has been tested on fixed and floating offshore platforms.

The standard pan-tilt inspection payload includes a 20x optical zoom camera, a thermal camera (-10 to +400°C range), a spotlight, a microphone, and a 360° LiDAR scanner for localization and navigation. An optional gas sensor payload enables continuous measurement of combustible and toxic gas concentrations; operators can control the robot remotely in-zone instead of sending workers into potentially dangerous situations. Detailed ANYmal X technical specifications have not yet been published by the manufacturer.
