AiMOGA Argos quadruped robot

Argos

Announced

Argos is a quadruped robot (robot dog) developed by AiMOGA, the embodied-AI brand owned by the Chinese automaker Chery. It is positioned as a home AI assistant and companion as well as a mobile security monitor.

The design is built around 12 compact joint motors with a small footprint and high torque, allowing the robot to traverse uneven terrain such as gravel, grass, slopes and steps. Its maximum movement speed is 2.5 m/s.

Argos responds to voice commands and touch in under 50 ms, understands commands in Chinese and English with a claimed 93% recognition accuracy, and features a ring six-microphone array and a speaker. For perception it uses an HD panoramic camera and two ultrasonic sensors (±30°) for obstacle avoidance, while a high-power LED light illuminates the way in the dark.

The robot can carry small objects (approx. 5 kg) and runs for about 2 hours on a built-in 126 Wh (4400 mAh) lithium battery. A remote-control function lets the owner view the live camera feed and receive alerts about anomalies, enabling Argos to act as a mobile security patrol.
