Astribot S1 is an upper-body humanoid robot built by Shenzhen-based Stardust Intelligence (星尘智能), operating under the Astribot brand. The company was founded in 2022 with a mission to empower billions of people with AI robotic assistants.
The S1 features exceptional arm kinematics: 7 DOF per arm, tip speed up to 10 m/s, acceleration of ~100 m/s², and repeatability of ±0.1 mm — making it one of the fastest robotic manipulation systems in the world. The arms can carry 5 kg at full extension.
The robot integrates stereo depth cameras for 3D perception and an AI system based on a Design for AI (DFAI) architecture that tightly couples hardware and software with machine learning. S1 can mimic human movements in real-time and learn new tasks through imitation.
