Figure 02 is the second humanoid robot developed by American company Figure AI, unveiled on August 6, 2024 as the successor to the Figure 01 prototype. The robot stands roughly 1.7 m tall, weighs around 70 kg and has 35 degrees of freedom. Each of its two five-fingered hands has 16 degrees of freedom and can lift up to 25 kg.
Unlike the first generation, cabling is integrated within the limbs and the battery sits in the torso. The robot features six RGB cameras, a microphone array, speakers and an onboard vision-language-action (VLA) model. Onboard compute is three times that of Figure 01, with two GPUs supplied by Nvidia.
Figure 02 has been commercially deployed at BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina plant, where it contributed to the production of over 30,000 cars. Since 2025 the robot has been powered by Helix and Helix 02 – Figure's generalist full-body vision-language-action control system.
