The Flexiv Rizon 4s is a variant of the seven-axis (7 DOF) Rizon 4 adaptive robot arm fitted with an integrated wrist force/torque (F/T) sensor. The letter “s” in the name refers to this added sensor, which improves force sensing accuracy to 0.03 N and enables precise force control at the tool tip.
The robot combines industrial-grade force control with machine vision and AI, handling contact-rich tasks with high tolerance for part position variance – such as force-controlled assembly, polishing and deburring of curved surfaces, machine tending and automated vehicle charging. Payload is 4 kg, reach 919 mm, and pose repeatability ±0.05 mm (ISO 9283).
The Rizon 4s carries an IP65 protection rating and is CE and ETL certified. It is driven by the Hesper controller (100–240 VAC or 42–62 VDC power, about 500 W consumption), supporting Modbus TCP and Ethernet TCP/IP communication plus optional PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and CC-Link. Flexiv Elements provides visual programming, while the RDK/IDE toolkit enables secondary application development.
