FRIDAY is a general-purpose humanoid robot developed by the Israeli company Mentee Robotics. It is a bipedal, general-purpose humanoid designed to operate in human environments — from the home to warehouses and logistics — controlled by voice and equipped with hands for object manipulation.
The robot stands about 175 cm tall and weighs around 70 kg, has 40 degrees of freedom and moves at up to 1.5 m/s; it can carry payloads of up to about 25 kg. Mentee Robotics emphasizes full vertical integration — self-made actuators with fully integrated on-board sensors and drivers, bespoke electronics and communication, and high-performance, redundant, fail-safe on-board compute for heavy AI workloads.
FRIDAY communicates by voice (natural-language understanding) and combines autonomous navigation with bimanual, dexterous manipulation. Mentee Robotics’ approach emphasizes teaching the robot (including by imitation) and operating in unstructured, everyday environments.
