MenteeBot is a humanoid robot developed by Israeli startup Mentee Robotics, co-founded by Prof. Amnon Shashua (co-founder of Mobileye). The robot embodies an AI-first approach, with artificial intelligence embedded at every level of the control stack.
MenteeBot employs Sim2Real learning for lifelike gait and hand movement, NeRF-based real-time 3D mapping and localization, dynamic navigation in complex environments, and Large Language Models to build a cognitive map of the world and execute advanced tasks. The robot is fully autonomous — not teleoperated.
A distinctive feature is its hot-swappable battery enabling round-the-clock operation. Mentee Robotics signed an acquisition agreement with Mobileye in January 2026.
