MenteeBot V3 is the third generation of the humanoid robot developed by Israeli startup Mentee Robotics, founded in 2022 by professors Amnon Shashua (Mobileye), Lior Wolf and Shai Shalev-Shwartz. The robot was officially unveiled in February 2025 and was shown on stage during the NVIDIA CEO keynote at CES 2025.
The platform is fully vertically integrated: Mentee Robotics designs its own actuators, sensors, on-board electronics and AI stack. According to the manufacturer, the proprietary actuators deliver roughly three times more power and higher power density than off-the-shelf alternatives.
The robot is 175 cm tall, weighs 70 kg, has 40 degrees of freedom, a 25 kg payload capacity and a walking speed of up to 1.5 m/s. The hands offer a 30 N pinch force per finger and impact resistance. A 360° vision system using fisheye side cameras and a rear camera provides full situational awareness.
A hot-swappable battery in a backpack-sized module enables uninterrupted 24/7 operation. According to Mentee, MenteeBot V3 runs for more than 3 hours between swaps.
Compute is provided by dual NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin modules, ensuring redundancy and allowing large AI models to run directly on board. The robot is trained with Mentee's proprietary Foundation Model approach, combining reinforcement learning in simulation with Sim2Real transfer, plus learning from demonstration and natural-language instructions.
MenteeBot V3 targets two segments: warehouse and logistics (moving payloads up to 25 kg, continuous shift work via hot-swap batteries) and household and light manual tasks, where the robot learns new actions from human demonstrations and voice commands.
