Proxie Gen 2 is the flagship product from Collaborative Robotics (Cobot) — a mobile bimanual manipulator robot available today. The second generation of the Proxie platform brings bimanual manipulation (two arms) on the same production-hardened chassis, enabling picking, placing and restocking of materials. Built for operations in hospitals, distribution centers and manufacturing floors — anywhere labor is short and automation needs to work alongside people.
Key systems
Glide 360 swerve drive — a 360° swerve drive architecture enables motion in any direction independent of chassis orientation. Proxie turns in place and intuitively avoids people, obstacles and other robots in narrow corridors.
Flex Grasp — a gripper designed for diverse industry needs: grabbing cart handles, loading boxes and totes without changing tooling.
ScoutSense — perception system capturing the environment from a human eye-level viewpoint. Enables decisions with spatial awareness and precision suited to human-designed environments.
Zero Charge / Self Battery Swap — hot-swappable batteries designed for continuous operation. Proxie autonomously swaps batteries and requires no charging downtime. Maximizes productivity and minimizes downtime.
Task Touch — operators pause, resume and confirm task completion directly on Proxie, with no additional control console required.
Cushion Ride — patent-pending suspension handling cracks, bumps and uneven floors. Proxie works on existing surfaces without facility flooring upgrades.
Intelligent software
Proxie requires no WMS integration, dedicated IT project or new equipment in the facility. Auto Tasking — the robot sees what is needed, Vista coordinates the fleet, the work gets done. Vista manages the Proxie fleet with continuous visibility, real-time intelligence and automatically responds to shift risks — identifying the choke point, rerouting the fleet and resolving issues before they materialize.
Customers and economics
Publicly announced pilot customers: Maersk, Mayo Clinic, Owens & Minor (quote from Kumar Pushkal, VP Distribution Operations: "We are putting 2026 tech in the DC without changing much. The modularity of a solution like this really hits a home run"). RaaS commercialization: under $15/hr for two-shift 5-day-per-week operation (assumes 8-hour shifts), under $7/hr for 24/7 operations.
