Unitree B2 is an industrial quadruped robot developed by Chinese company Unitree Robotics, unveiled in October 2023 as the successor to the B1 model. The robot measures 1100 × 500 × 650 mm standing, weighs 60 kg, and can carry payloads up to 40 kg continuous (120 kg static).
B2 reaches running speeds up to 6 m/s, features 12 degrees of freedom (3 per leg), and has 4-5 hours of battery life per cycle. The robot is rated IP67 (full dust protection and short-term water immersion). It exceeds most competitors in the inspection class in ingress protection.
The platform is designed for industrial applications: critical infrastructure inspection (pipelines, electrical substations), monitoring, sub-area tasks, SLAM/Nav research. It supports ROS 2 and Unitree SDK (Python/C++). Starting price is approximately USD 100,000.
