Hassabis wants a FINRA for AI — an independent body to test frontier models
Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis is proposing a FINRA-modeled self-regulatory standards body that would test frontier AI models up to 30 days before release. The initiative responds to criticism of opaque ad-hoc US government reviews of Anthropic's and OpenAI's top models.
