Eney is a proactive AI assistant for Mac, developed by the Ukrainian company MacPaw (maker of CleanMyMac and the Setapp platform). Unlike classic chatbots, Eney is designed not merely to answer questions but to carry out tasks on its own — it connects the apps you use, understands your work context and moves tasks forward.
The assistant offers 150+ built-in skills — from splitting PDFs and trimming video to drafting messages and automating repetitive work. It behaves proactively: it prepares daily snapshots, reminds you about meetings and suggests next steps. Eney integrates with popular work tools: Notion, Linear, Jira, Confluence and Google Workspace.
Eney emphasizes privacy — it only accesses data you have explicitly allowed (such as calendar, notes or email). In 2026 MacPaw announced a partnership with Liquid AI, integrating local Liquid Foundation Models (LFMs) to combine on-device intelligence, persistent memory and native task execution on the Mac.
The product is available in preview through a Setapp subscription. It requires an Apple Silicon Mac and macOS 15 or later; the interface is currently English-only.
