Holiday Sim is a proprietary simulation environment developed by Holiday Robotics, used to test robots, skills and work scenarios before deploying them on the physical FRIDAY humanoid. It is one of the pillars of the company's full stack, alongside the FRIDAY robot, Holiday Lab and OASys.
A key feature of Holiday Sim is high-fidelity physics - in particular accurate modeling of soft-body contacts, which are notoriously difficult in standard physics engines (such as MuJoCo). This helps close the sim-to-real gap, making skills trained and validated in simulation work on the real robot.
Holiday Sim trains reusable robot skills (e.g. grasping and inserting) used in the Vision-Language-Skill (VLS) architecture that powers FRIDAY. It works together with Holiday Lab (turning demonstrations, simulation rollouts and real-world failures into skills) and with the OASys deployment layer.
