Raven

Raven is an open-source (Apache 2.0) multi-agent system built by EverMind. Its makers describe it as the “harness of harnesses” — a Host Agent that interprets the user's goal, assembles and orchestrates specialized agents (built-in and third-party) and delivers an integrated result. It is designed for recursive self-improvement (RSI): it can propose, evaluate and adopt changes to its own harness, keeping only those that pass validation.

Powered by EverOS — a local-first, Markdown-native long-term memory runtime — Raven carries memory and context across sessions. It provides four built-in agents: Raven-Research (autonomous deep research), Raven-Code (agentic software development), Raven-Design (visual design, including slide decks and brand assets) and Raven-Oncall (unattended workflow automation).

Raven's core systems include agent orchestration (DAG generation and parallel execution), the Evolver (harness self-evolution), EverOS memory, SkillForge (retrieving skills from local libraries, EverOS memory and the SkillHub catalog) and proactivity (event monitoring and scheduled tasks). Raven connects and orchestrates third-party agents via ACP, CLI or OpenAI-compatible APIs, with presets for 13 agents (including Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot). It is accessed through a CLI/TUI and a WebUI (run locally, also via Docker). The project is pre-alpha.
