Slack AI is a set of artificial-intelligence features built into the Slack team-communication platform (owned by Salesforce). It runs natively inside Slack and includes channel and thread summaries, natural-language search answers, message translation, huddle notes, daily recaps and Slackbot acting as a personal AI agent.

AI features are available on Slack's paid plans, with progressively broader capabilities: the Pro plan covers basic summaries and notes, Business+ adds search answers, translations, file summaries and automations, and Enterprise+ enables enterprise search that spans multiple applications.

Slack states that customer data never leaves Slack and is not used to train large language models, and that the LLMs run within Slack's AWS virtual private cloud (VPC), meeting the same compliance standards as Slack itself. Through Agentforce in Slack, Salesforce agents can also operate in the context of a team's conversations.
