Slack Code

Slack Code is a feature of Slack (owned by Salesforce) that brings work with AI agents into shared team channels. A user mentions an agent to spin up a code channel, invites teammates, and observes and guides the agent's work in real time.

Slack Code is agent-provider agnostic, integrating with Claude (Anthropic), Devin (Cognition), Vercel agents, and GitHub Copilot. The team reviews previews, gives feedback, and approves results, letting non-technical staff take part too. Code channels auto-archive when work is done while keeping searchable context, and an agents tab shows session status and progress.

Messages to agents receive the same security treatment as the rest of Slack (including Enterprise Key Management, DLP, and Discovery APIs) and respect existing workspace permissions.
