Autonomous Fleet
How it works
A central fleet management system maintains the state of all units (position, load, energy level, task status) from telemetry. A dispatching module assigns jobs to vehicles, and a planning layer computes and coordinates routes to limit conflicts and congestion. Energy management schedules charging or refueling to keep the fleet available. Remote operators (teleoperation / remote assistance) intervene in situations a vehicle cannot resolve on its own. Each vehicle runs its own perception–planning–control loop, while the fleet adds a multi-unit coordination layer on top.
Problem solved
A single autonomous vehicle does not scale to transport and logistics services that require many units. An autonomous fleet addresses the coordination of many driverless vehicles: how to allocate tasks, avoid collisions and congestion, keep units available (charging, servicing), and supervise operation with no driver in each vehicle.
Components
Central layer that maintains the state of all units and supervises the operation of the fleet as a whole.
Assigns jobs and missions to individual vehicles based on availability, location and priorities.
Computes and coordinates routes across many units, limiting collisions and congestion.
Schedules charging or refueling sessions to keep units available.
Lets remote operators intervene in situations a vehicle cannot resolve on its own.
Collects real-time position, status and health data from units to support operational decisions.
