Lovable (formerly GPT Engineer) is a Swedish startup based in Stockholm, the creator of a “vibe coding” platform that lets people build apps and websites by chatting with AI — without traditional programming. A user describes an idea (and can attach screenshots and documentation), and the platform generates a working prototype in real time, with iterative refinement and one-click deployment.
The company was founded in 2023 by Anton Osika (CEO) and Fabian Hedin (CTO); the “Lovable” name appeared in December 2024, after the GPT Engineer / GPT Engineer App phase. Lovable quickly became one of the fastest-growing technology companies in Europe: in February 2025 it raised $200M in a Series A (approx. $1.8B valuation, Accel), and in December 2025 $330M in a Series B (approx. $6.6B valuation; CapitalG and Menlo Ventures). As of November 2025, it reported about $200M in annual recurring revenue (ARR), close to 8 million users and a team of around 120 people.
