Founded 2023 · Sunnyvale, United StatesNoble Machines Inc. (formerly Under Control Robotics / UCR) is an American robotics startup headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, founded in 2024 by a team of engineers from companies and institutions including Apple, SpaceX, NASA, and Caltech. The co-founders are Wei Ding (CEO), Wen-Loong (Wenlong) Ma (CTO), Christopher McQuin, and Wenda Wang. On March 3, 2026, the company announced its exit from stealth mode and the delivery of its first robots to a Fortune Global 500 customer, just 18 months after launch. The company's flagship product — the Moby humanoid robot — supports a payload of up to 27 kg (60 lbs), offers approximately 5 hours of battery autonomy, and is powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin. The technology platform is built on a proprietary hardware-software stack combining AI-driven whole-body control with end-to-end autonomy. The robots can learn new industrial skills within hours through natural language instructions, demonstrations, and gestures. Noble Machines leverages NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Newton (a physics engine based on NVIDIA Warp and OpenUSD) for digital twin creation and to shorten the sim-to-real pipeline. The company partners with ADLINK (edge computing), Schaeffler (actuators), and Solomon (factory integrations). Target sectors include industrial manufacturing, construction, logistics, energy, and semiconductors.
