The 1X NEO Cortex is the onboard compute module that acts as the AI "brain" of the 1X NEO humanoid. It is physically based on the NVIDIA Jetson Thor SoC — the official NEO spec sheet lists it as "1X NEO Cortex (Nvidia Jetson Thor)".
The module delivers up to 2070 FP4 TFLOPS of AI compute, used for on-device inference of the models that drive the robot's behaviour. The NEO software layer (Redwood AI) is a separate entity and is not part of this hardware component.
The underlying Jetson Thor platform combines a 14-core Arm Neoverse-V3AE CPU, an NVIDIA Blackwell-architecture GPU and LPDDR5X memory. The exact memory capacity used in NEO has not been disclosed by 1X Technologies.
