Heron Link
Heron Link is a solid-state transformer (SST) developed by the startup Heron Power. Unlike classic magnetic-core transformers, the device uses power electronics (including silicon-carbide, SiC, transistors) to convert medium-voltage power directly into 800 V DC — the level required by NVIDIA reference server racks in AI data centers.
With high efficiency, controllability and a compact footprint, Heron Link aims to replace traditional transformers and part of the power infrastructure, simplifying energy delivery to dense compute loads and the integration of renewable energy sources.
Heron Link is the flagship product of Heron Power, founded in 2025 by former Tesla vice president Drew Baglino.

Which group Heron Link belongs to and how it is built
Power Systems is a subcategory of hardware components responsible for managing electrical power in a robot or its modules. It encompasses power supplies, power distribution modules, voltage converters, protection circuits, battery management systems (BMS), and other power infrastructure elements. In robotics, power systems are critical to the reliability, safety, and stable operation of all subsystems.
A power-electronics converter replacing the classic transformer, converting voltage with high efficiency and controllability.
