Meta Quest 3
The Meta Quest 3 is a standalone virtual and mixed reality headset by Meta, released on 10 October 2023. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip and uses two LCD panels at 2064 ร 2208 pixels per eye, running at 90โ120 Hz, with pancake lenses.
Although it is a consumer device, in robotics the Meta Quest 3 is used as a low-cost teleoperation interface for humanoids and robotic arms and for collecting demonstration data. Color passthrough (two 4 MP RGB cameras), four infrared cameras and a depth projector enable hand tracking and spatial tracking of the Touch Plus controllers.
