Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (codename “Jammy Jellyfish”) is a long-term support edition of the Ubuntu Linux operating system developed by Canonical. It was released on 21 April 2022 and is the fourth consecutive LTS version in Canonical's two-year cadence.
LTS releases receive five years of standard security maintenance. For Ubuntu 22.04, standard support ends in May 2027, while extended security maintenance through Ubuntu Pro (ESM) covers the system until May 2032.
Because of its stability and long support window, Ubuntu 22.04 LTS is widely used in robotics, embedded and edge systems, and as a base for ROS 2. The operating system runs, among others, on the Faraday Future FF All-New Futurist humanoid robot (Standard and Ultra variants).

z/Architecture is the 64-bit processor architecture of IBM Z mainframes, introduced in 2000 as the successor to ESA/390. It features 24/31/64-bit addressing modes and built-in accelerators (including the Integrated Accelerator for AI in the Telum and Telum II processors). In the Linux ecosystem this architecture is known as s390x.
PowerPC (Performance Optimization With Enhanced RISC – Performance Computing) is a RISC instruction set architecture. Modern IBM Power server variants include ppc64 (big-endian) and ppc64le (little-endian). The architecture is supported by, among others, the Linux kernel and the KVM virtualization technology.
