The ROBOTIS AI Worker is a semi-humanoid robot built on a Physical AI approach and designed to operate in industrial environments. It learns tasks from human demonstrations (imitation learning) and refines them through reinforcement learning, performing work such as wiring-harness assembly, welding and inspection.
The platform combines a swerve-drive mobile base, two 7-DOF arms with grippers, and a sensor suite of three RGBD cameras, two LiDARs and an IMU. Computation runs on an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin, while motion is driven by ROBOTIS DYNAMIXEL servo actuators (Y, P and X series).
The flagship mobile variant FFW-SG2 has 25 degrees of freedom, weighs 90 kg and stands about 1.62 m tall; arm reach is 641 mm with a nominal payload of 3 kg per arm (6 kg dual-arm). The AI Worker supports ROS 2, Python and C++, and the full software stack — source code, simulation models and training data — is released as open source under the Apache-2.0 license.
