Miyazawa Noa (宮澤ノア) is a bipedal humanoid robot built on the Unitree G1 platform. It is not a separate hardware product but a branded deployment carried out in Japan by the company Kakuichi (Kakuichi Co., Ltd.) together with Play Robotics. The name combines “Miyazawa” (宮澤) — a reference to the poet Kenji Miyazawa — with “Noa” (ノア), read as “No Answer”, after Kakuichi’s mission of continually seeking answers to questions that have none.
Kakuichi presents the robot as a “new-graduate career-track employee” (新卒総合職). The humanoid is set to officially “join the company” in April 2027 and rotate through several areas of the business — factory work, sales, training, and safety management — in a human–robot co-working model. The companies describe it as Japan’s first case of a small or medium-sized enterprise “hiring” a bipedal humanoid as a new-graduate general-position employee (as of August 2026).
The unit arrived at Kakuichi’s factory in Tōmi, Nagano Prefecture, on 6 October 2026, where Kakuichi’s project team and Play Robotics verified its operation. The project runs under Play Robotics’ in-house humanoid (Physical AI) adoption support program, with Kakuichi as its first client; basic training for the team (about ten people from three group companies) began in July 2026, led by Play Robotics’ CTO.
The technical specification corresponds to the base-configuration Unitree G1 platform. The exact configuration of this unit (e.g. hands, compute module) and its individual parameters have not been publicly disclosed.
