The X1 Panel Lift is Xpanner's excavator-based solar panel installation automation system. A single machine transports the PV panel box, picks panels directly from the box with a vacuum gripper, and places them onto the mounting structure, removing the need for a separate compact track loader (CTL) or forklift to feed panels.
Following the vendor's "One Machine. One Button. One Workflow." concept, X1 takes over repetitive material handling — lifting, carrying and positioning — while keeping the operator in full control through a simple remote interface. A roughly 3-person crew focuses on panel alignment, fastening and quality, and the machine works two rows at once, left and right.
The automation is built on the X1 kit: the Mango real-time (RTOS) controller and sensor fusion of LiDAR, cameras and GNSS, which builds a live 3D model of the jobsite. An announced Physical AI module (M2) is intended to connect the controller to the digital world, processing sensor and vision data in real time. Field data flows to the cloud-based Xpanner Connect dashboard (including plan vs. as-built verification), and new capabilities are delivered on demand from the cloud as modular intelligence apps.
