X1 Piling R6 — Xpanner automated solar pile driver at a solar farm construction site

X1 Piling R6

Shipping

The X1 Piling R6 is an automated solar pile-driving machine that combines a pile driver (Everstar base) with the Xpanner X1 automation kit. The operator starts the sequence with a single button press on the remote controller and supervises remotely while the system automatically performs travel, alignment, hammering and plumb control.

It handles piles up to 7.0 m (23 ft) long with a maximum driving depth of 4.8 m (15.7 ft). Operating weight is 6,500 kg and working dimensions are 4,000 × 2,150 × 6,000 mm; with the mast folded, transport dimensions are 3,700 × 2,150 × 2,700 mm. It is powered by a 97 kW (130 hp) engine with a 20 MPa hydraulic system, and travel speed exceeds 2.5 km/h.

The X1 automation is built on the Mango real-time (RTOS) controller and sensor fusion of LiDAR, cameras and a dual-antenna GNSS receiver with RTK (centimeter-level accuracy). The platform also anticipates DTH drilling, auger drilling and ground-screw configurations; the current release covers pile driving. Field data flows to the cloud-based Xpanner Connect dashboard (plan vs. as-built).

According to the manufacturer, the X1 Piling solution has been deployed at more than 60 construction sites in the US (Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Missouri) and in Australia.
