XPENG Robotics is the robotics and physical-AI arm of the Chinese electric-vehicle maker XPeng (Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motors), headquartered in Guangzhou. It develops the IRON humanoid robot, first unveiled in November 2024 at XPeng's Tech Day and in a new generation at AI Day on 5 November 2025. IRON uses three in-house Turing AI chips delivering up to 2250 TOPS, an all-solid-state battery, and a biology-inspired build (bionic muscles, a waist spinal structure, and full-coverage soft skin). Mass production is targeted for the end of 2026, with wider deployment and deliveries in China and overseas in 2027. In August 2026 the XPENG robotics business raised over US$900 million in a Series A round at a post-money valuation exceeding US$6.3 billion; the round was led by IDG Capital, with Gaorong Ventures among investors and Tencent and Alibaba as strategic backers. XPeng retains a controlling stake and the robotics results remain consolidated into the group's financial statements.
