Shift 1.0·
Shift (ANYbotics Shift™) is an operations platform from ANYbotics for autonomous industrial inspection at scale. It connects a facility’s plant model, robot fleet, inspection intelligence, and maintenance systems into one continuous workflow, helping maintenance and reliability teams plan robot missions, detect failing equipment, and turn inspection findings into work orders.
The platform is delivered as four connected modules: Shift Maps (a living model / digital twin of the plant with the asset hierarchy in 2D and 3D), Shift Fleet (scheduling, monitoring and managing multi-robot missions), Shift Insight (per-asset analysis of visual, thermal, acoustic and gas readings, using vision-language models to detect anomalies), and Shift Connect (API integrations with CMMS, DCS, APM and ERP systems). A shared intelligence layer, Shift AI, underpins all four modules.
Shift is API-first by design (a bi-directional REST API), so customer systems can task the fleet and receive inspection results back. It integrates with systems such as SAP, IBM Maximo, Oracle, Yokogawa, GE Vernova APM, Cognite and Palantir. It runs as a managed cloud platform with regional hosting (EU or United States), and can also be deployed in a customer’s own cloud or on-premise where required.
Today Shift operates ANYbotics’ quadruped ANYmal robot fleets; support for third-party robots (a hardware-agnostic platform) is on the roadmap. Shift is the new name for and evolution of the earlier Data Navigator platform; the product was officially launched on 1 October 2026 (the Shift 1.0 release).
Fleet Management software encompasses tools designed for managing a fleet of robots: task allocation and scheduling, status monitoring, over-the-air (OTA) firmware and software updates, error handling, and multi-unit coordination. It provides a centralised operations layer above individual robot controllers and is critical in warehouse automation, last-mile delivery, and industrial inspection deployments.
Physical AI platforms are software products that connect physical robots and industrial production processes with artificial intelligence models. Unlike a pure SDK or middleware, a Physical AI Platform ships as an end-to-end stack: perception, task planning, process parameter optimization, multi-robot coordination and operator UI. They target use cases such as surface treatment (grinding, painting, polishing), inspection, assembly and packing — where business value comes from combining hardware, AI and domain knowledge.
Vigier Cement (Péry, >33,000 inspections in 16 months), Grace chemical plant (Düren), a 500 MW power plant in Ireland (data into GE Vernova APM), Steelmet (Viohalco Group), Kanadevia Inova, Outokumpu.
More than 200 robot deployments; 120,000+ inspections analyzed per month; 1,000+ industrial assets monitored.
