XPENG Turing is an in-house AI system-on-chip (SoC) developed by the Chinese company XPENG (a Guangzhou-based electric-vehicle and robotics maker). The chip powers advanced AI models for autonomous-driving (ADAS) functions and, in some models, in-cabin AI assistants. Turing successfully taped out in August 2024 and, as XPENG's first self-developed chip, launched in the G7 model in June 2025. Its specification includes 40 Cortex-A78AE CPU cores, two NPUs and 64 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory, delivering about 750 TOPS of sparse compute and the ability to run AI models with up to 30 billion parameters, with roughly 20% higher effective utilization than previous off-the-shelf solutions. XPENG also supplies the chip to other automakers (including integration into Volkswagen models from 2026).
