The Open Secure AI Alliance (OSAIA) is an industry consortium established under the Linux Foundation (with support from the Open Source Security Foundation, OpenSSF), bringing together 50+ organizations around AI security. The alliance was announced in 2026. OSAIA's mission is to build and share open tools and standards for defending software and AI agents - inspectable and adaptable technologies for securing AI models, agents and the software supply chain around them. Founding members include Microsoft, IBM, Red Hat, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Hugging Face, Palantir, Siemens, HPE, Databricks, Adobe, Dell Technologies, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Trend Micro and Cloudflare. Notably, OpenAI, Anthropic and Google were absent from the founding lineup. OSAIA responds to the growing need for open, shared security mechanisms for the agentic-AI era.
